ACRyan with VEOLO Playon as Smart Android Internet TV

ACRyan Plays On With VEOLO

AC Ryan has  just  launched VEOLO, a device designed for digital entertainment that combines apps, internet, and a media streamer, all on your TV.It  is  also called the Smart Internet Enabled TV  Device

VEOLO is is powered by an ARM Cortex A9 1GHz processor, it has 512MB DDR3 and it is based on the Android 2.2 Froyo platform. It comes with a built-in web browser and Java and Flash support and allows you to stream your library of music, movies and photos in Full HD with Gigabit 1000Mbps wired LAN. VEOLO also includes built-in wireless 802.11 b/g/n LAN. A 3-in-1 Remote Control also comes standard with VEOLO.

Think again if you considering buying a Smart TV  as  you can get this device instead, which is known  as a  ‘’Smart  Android Internet  TV  Box ’’ that can make any TV smart.  It  is not  the first Internet TV  Box model in the  marketplace ,  as Iomega,  Dvico has  intorduced  their model early  this year  with  similar featured models
This  device has a black sassy  look with a glossy convex top, A USB 2.0 port and an SD card slot occupy its left side. Analogue audio output ports and an HDMI port an found at the rear.
Installation is simple, plug it in, connect the Veolo to your TV set with an HDMI cable and power it up. It takes a short while  to boot up the Android 2.2 mobile operating system , an interface familiar to other competitor models and  is  easy found as the OS  on  most smartphone .

On the back of the remote control is a Qwerty keyboard, useful for typing Web addresses.
The remote double as a wireless motion controller for on onscreen cursor or pointer , but you first need to pair it with the Veolo .Once used together  the connection is very stable and pairing is automatic when your restart the Veolo.
For the remote to function as a motion controller, you have to use the Pointer On/Off, Pointer Select and Return Buttons situated above the directional pad.
Moving the on screen cursor around may take some getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, navigating the menu or browsing the internet becomes a breeze.
For instance, to scroll down a website, you press and hold down the pointer Select button while moving your arm downwards.

The cursor tends to disappear when there is no activity on screen , Just press the pointer On/Off button to reactivate it. The motion-sensing feature is not precise enough for games , as tried by other analyst and reviewer  whom  give  a 3/5 for its accuracy
Veolo so far  had access, only to third-party AndroidPit app Center, where you can find apps and games such as plants vs Zombies. An upcoming firmware update will offer access to the official Android market.

Veolo supports both Flash and HTML5 websites. So you will have no problem playing YouTube videos or visiting  your favourite Flash websites .With a wired connection, the streaming of 1,080p videos is fast and smooth but only 720p videos can be streamed when using the built-in wireless.Veolo plays almost all the video formats, including mkv , rmvb and vod, Only BD –ISO  and DVD-ISO formats fail to play.
